About Lauren
Lauren Bell is a prospective Ph.D. student looking to explore the connections between nutrition and chronic disease in marginalized communities in the United States. She is currently an Adjunct Professor at Tulane University and Heart Disease Evaluation Manager with the Louisiana Department of Health. In addition to teaching, Lauren is also a certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, and gained certification through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in the Fall of 2020. She graduated with her Masters of Public Health from Tulane University in 2022, and Bachelor’s of Arts from The George Washington University in 2018.
Her research interests include food access, nutrition education, food security, food apartheid, anti-diet focused nutrition work, and chronic disease management.
